Please contact our front desk for early check-in or late check-out requests. We will try our best to accommodate, however early arrival or late departures depend on current hotel operations and cannot be guaranteed. Guests are welcome to leave luggage at reception and enjoy use of hotel facilities between 9am – 5pm on arrival or departure day.

Please return keys to the front desk or key box upon check-out.


HOTEL CANCELLATION & AMEDNMENT POLICY


Guests can cancel or revise their booking 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation penalty (including any credit card surcharge). The cancellation fee is equivalent to the cost of the first night of accommodation (including any credit card surcharge). During peak periods and block-out dates, including New Year’s Eve, Easter Long Weekend, and QLD School Holidays a cancellation policy of 7 days will apply.

NO SHOWS

 
Guests who don’t check-in on the day of arrival are considered no-shows and incur the entire charge of accommodation cost (including any credit card surcharge). The room is held until 10am of the following day and then released.


BOOKING AMENDMENTS

 
Guests are welcome to amend booking dates (subject to availability and Hotel Cancellation Policy). Please note, hotel rates fluctuate from time to time and new booking dates will reflect the most current rate available on the day amendment is made.

EARLY DEPARTURES


Guests who cancel their booking after check-in (in other words, leave earlier than planned), will incur the entire charge of accommodation cost (including any credit card surcharge).


GROUP BOOKING POLICY

 
Bookings of five or more rooms are considered ‘group bookings’ and as such additional conditions apply:

  • A full rooming list is required 7 days prior to arrival.

  • 50% non-refundable booking fee (including any credit card surcharge) is required at time of booking.

  • Remaining payment (including any credit card surcharge) is required 14 days prior to arrival.

  • A group booking policy is to be signed and returned to hello@rainbowsands.com.au 14 days prior to arrival.


ROOM OCCUPANCY

  • Motels Rooms are available for a maximum of two adults, plus 1 cot.

  • One Bedroom Units are available for a maximum of 4 people.

  • Two Bedroom Units are available for a maximum of 6 guests.

  • Cots are available upon request for kids up to 4 years old.

 


BOOKING GUARANTEE AND PAYMENT

 
At time of booking, Rainbow Sands will take a valid credit card to secure the reservation. Guest will be charged the full amount of booking on day of arrival (including any credit card surcharge). Any additional charges will be processed within 48 hours of departure date (including any credit card surcharge) on the credit card provided.

Payments are to be made by Visa, Mastercard or American Express. A surcharge of 1.70% applies to domestic transactions and 2.90% for international transactions. Payments can be accepted via direct deposit. 

 

For security purposes, the Rainbow Sands does not accept cash.

 
CREDIT CARD ON ARRIVAL 

 
Upon arrival, the Hotel will request a valid credit card and supporting ID that corresponds with the booking name.

PETS

 
We love animals. However, Rainbow Sands is a pet free property. Additional cleaning fees will be charged to guests found housing a pet. Pets will be asked to be removed immediately.

POOL & BBQ USE
 

8 AM – 6 PM Daily

We welcome all guest to use our pool and BBQ area during opening times. Please note, these areas are glass free zones and children must be supervised at all times.

Please see our front desk if you wish to use the BBQ. Guests are responsible for cleaning of BBQ after use.


SMOKING POLICY

 
Rainbow Sands is a smoke free, this includes all rooms, car park and common spaces within the hotel. Additional cleaning fees will be charged to guests found smoking.

ROOM DAMAGE, THEFT AND CLEANING POLICY

 
Guest staying in One- or Two-Bedroom Units are required to wash dishes prior to departure.

Guests that depart leaving their room in an unpardonable state that requires excessive cleaning and extra time will incur additional cleaning charges. This will be processed against their nominated card used to guarantee incidentals from arrival. Furthermore, any damages made by guests will be on-charged. The damage recovery fee will include labour and materials. Any items taken from the room on departure will also be on-charged at the cost of replacement.

SECURITY AND EVICTION POLICY


Rainbow Sands reserves the right to enter any guest room in the best interest of security and/or safety of its guests and employees. The Hotel may evict a guest without warning or refund of their stay due to demonstration of, but not limited to the following: Intoxication, antisocial behaviour, physical or verbal abuse to staff and other guests, wilful damage to the room, hotel and its contents, excessive noise, ignoring the advice or requests of Rainbow Sands staff, smoking in the hotel, housing pets, or exceeding the maximum number of guests in the room at any time.


EVENTS POLICY


Please note that Rainbow Sands is an accommodation only hotel and we do not offer our rooms or common spaces to host events or parties. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in eviction.

PHOTOSHOOT POLICY


Any photography within Rainbow Sands for commercial, film or marketing use for another brand or company will need to be approved by our General Manager. A photography location fee will apply.
